Another great place for tech news and benchmarks. I tend to use them in comparison to Tom's Hardware. Tom's does more network related articles and Anandtech runs these cool example systems every month or so. " Welcome to AnandTech, the leading IT source for hardware analysis and industry news."

A web site that's got a great set predictive outlines for what's up and coming in the next year or so for technology. Also has some handy price records for processors, etc... just in general a nice site to check out when technology was released and when it will likely be released.

These guys tend to have the jump on all of the rumors and news out there in the technology world - headlines made for people into computer hardware and software with a bit of comedic bais from the authors. If nothing else the site is entertaining, even if the news there is often unconfirmed.

A great resource for everything having to do with video encoding, ripping, conversion, whatever. NewEgg.com

The number one place to buy computer and computer related parts online, or anywhere, period. Best prices, ridiculously good service and a 1 year replacement warranty (that's even extendable!) on anything you buy here. These guys are awesome, I've bought literally thousands of dollars worth of material from them. If you're in the market for computer building or upgrading, check these guys out!

ZipZoomFly.com

A close second to NewEgg ZipZoom sometimes has better prices on various tech items. Their warranty system isn't quite as good, but sometimes you can find things here that aren't available at NewEgg, or for a few dollars less. Often a reasonably good alternative.

Aquanox is a game... that's relatively cool, but what's more useful is the Aquamark benchmark that uses material from the game to test all sorts of aspects of how your computer graphics perform. After futuremark's texture debacle this has become the household standard benchmarking program for graphics.
